Halloween 2012

This day of the year is one of my most favorite. You can actually be whoever you want to be. So I came in as Madonna -- an 80's Rockstar -- for Halloween this year. It was unplanned! my sister and I were just shopping. Then I tried on this shorts from Topshop, then boom! An 80's Rockstar. And who might be the most popular in the 80's but Madonna. Hence, the violet accessories.

And here's me and my sister. She's supposed to be Minnie Mouse. I don't know what happened to her Minnie Mouse Ears though!

So who/what were you last 31st October? I hope you had a blast too!

What I wore to PH Fashion Week

Last 28th October I got invited to 3 Fashion Shows but I opted to only attend 2 cause I was already running late for the 1st show. The 1st show was starting at 5:30 PM and at that time I was still having my make-up done! So I just had to let go of that show. Although I really really wanted to watch. Fudge!

So anyway, I watched the Magnum Fashion Show featuring Local Filipino Designers. One of my uncles was also featured there, Emi Englis. Then I watched the Mens Collection right after! My uncle and my uncles' friend was featured. Go check out their collections too. They're Dodjie Batu and Edgar Buyan.

Through the whole week, I've been wearing classic colors. Black & White. So on the last day (well it was mine cause I didn't go to the actual last day which was Monday) of my PH Fashion Week S/S 2013, I opted to wear something that's colorful and bold. You think I did ok?

Well here's the deets of the ensemble:

Blue Blazer: Mango
Sequined Top: F21
Belt: F21
Long Gold Chained Necklace: F21
Necklace: SM Dept. Store
Skirt: Topshop
Clutch: Dorothy Perkins
Sunnies: H&M
Hippie Band: F21
Stilettos:  F21
Make-up By: Nino Magno of Majolica Majorca
(sister company of the Japanese Brand, Shiseido)

Hope you like my outfit! Also a quick tip: If you're attending Fashion Shows, it's way better to create your own ensemble or have a customized dress made for you. RTW Dresses are fab but there's a big possibility someone might wear the same exact thing. Which I know you would so want not to happen haha! So yea. Make your own ensemble or get a customized tailored dress!

SOFA Grad Fashion Show

So my friend Clovis invited me to his school's Fashion Show for its Graduating Students. Which is such a great show by the way. Each and every collection was unique and true to the designers taste. So anyway, I was feeling kind of lazy so I opted to just wear denim shorts and I tried to accessorize it with this hat I wore for PH Fashion Week. If you've read my previous blog post, you'd know. Plus I only wore flats since my leg's kind of swollen (I hope it's not that obvious) cause I fell down an 8-step staircase earlier that day. Ugh. I know! All because my friend was rushing me so bad that I tried to rush myself and fell. Fudge!!!

And I just want to thank Joan Malonzo, an aspiring photographer and a student in Sofa for photography, for taking this photo right here. I hope we can have photo-shoots soon, Joan!

Details for this outfit, here:

Maroon Hat: Forever 21
Top: Lulu Castagnette
Vest: Forever 21
Shorts: Forever 21
Belt: Forever 21
Flats: Aldo
Sunnies: H&M
Necklace: SM Dept. Store

What do you think of my outfit? Hope you like it!

Geometric Cuts

Hey guys! How have you been? Sorry I haven't blogged for 2 weeks now. Been really very busy. From going to Cebu, then Bacolod for Masskara, Manila for my job application and PH Fashion week -- will have blog posts about this for sure! -- ughhh. BUSY. But hey! I'm back now.

So here's what I wore for PH Fashion Week S/S 2013's Luxe Collection last 27th October at SMX. The Luxe Collection featured Local Filipino Designers from all over the country. Two of my uncles were included in the show, Aztec & Popoy Barba. I was such a proud niece watching and clapping for their collections. I wasn't able to take photos though cause neither I nor Janvie, my PH Fashion Week Buddy, didn't bring a camera. So yea. But will look for photos. Don't worry! I'll be resourceful. Lol.

About my outfit, here's the deets:
Maroon Hat: Forever21
Geometric Cut Top: Patahian By Aztec & Popoy Barba and Dodjie Batu
(this is actually a dress -- wore it at F21 launch in Davao -- but here I detached the skirt)
Blazer: Zara
Shorts: Forever 21
Socks: Forver 21
Boots: Zara
Sunnies: H&M
Make-up By: Jero of Shiseido SM Makati

Hope you like what I wore for the Luxe Collection!

Photos By: Mikhail Arce-Ignacio

I just realized that I actually wore this for the show of Arnold Galang, Jerome Salva Ang, Philipp Tampus, and Renee Salud. Not on the Luxe Collection cause the Luxe Collection was a Friday, 26th October! Hahaha! I have such a bad memory. Realized this after my uncle tagged me on a photo we had after the Luxe Collection.

So here's me with my uncle, Popoy Barba (the one B/W blazer) and my friend, Janvie Tiu, the one on the right most side of the photo. And yes this was after the Luxe Collection. - - Sorry for the photo, it was just taken with an iPad.

IPANEMA UNLEASHES DAVAO’S FASHION ANIMAL

The exuding runway of the Ipanema's Jungle Fashion Show. Felt like I was really in the jungle with its very nice set-up.

The funny caterpillar. I love how he has so much energy! He was the one who started the event. And he opened it with a bang!

The Zebra was the first one out.

I love her Ipanema Sandals / Flipflops. And it really looks so comfy and light. Perfect to bring-in just in case you get tired with your heels.

Then came the Peacock.

It really looks like a Peacock, right?

The super cute Dolphin Twins.

I love how the Caterpillar was secretly (although it was so obvious) following the pretty Eagle. Like it was really admiring it.

And another great pair of Flipflops from Ipanema brought out by the Eagle.

My personal favorite out of the great bunch -- the Ostrich.

The fierce Wolves. I love how their ears look so real. Really like a Wolves' ear.

If I'm not mistaken, these were the Deere. Amazing how the Hair Stylist was able to make-use of their hair as a Deer's Horn.

And here comes the Lioness. The Queens of the jungle.

The ever so flexible Snake.

And now the models (which I think are ballet dancers too) showcased the new collection of Ipanema -- which I think is uber nice. I actually spotted a lot I would like to take home!

My personal fave -- the Ostrich ones again.

And after the show, I asked the Davao Bloggers to take a photo with me. It was my first time to meet them, since this is actually my first Blogger Event. They're all so nice and welcoming to a newbie Blogger like me. Happy to have had the opportunity to meet them!

Picking up steam from its successful Bonifacio High Street extravaganza at the onset of 2012, world-renowned Brazilian flip-flop brand Ipanema once again took a flock of stylistas in an extraordinary feast of the senses. This time, Ipanema’s distinct jovial, fun spirit—embodied in its brave array of footwear designs—was restaged in Davao last October 12, 2012 at the Abreeza Mall Activity Center.

In line with the brand’s style sensibility of igniting the fashion animal in its market of go-getters, the Ipanema Urban Jungle Fashion Show was an unforgettable display of fresh, animated pieces from the stylista-friendly brand.

Exuding the festive and exotic vibe of the beaches of Brazil, Ipanema has long since created a name synonymous to creativity and fun, coming up with a bevy of collections featuring a lauded mix of bright colors, bold prints and vibrant patterns.

The fiercest go-getters gathered and witnessed an exhilarating runway show-cum-fashion festival similar to the raved about fashion parade in Manila that has collected a number of the Metro’s “it” list for audience members.

Encompassing diverse tastes and personalities of today’s breadth of stylistas, the unique show at the Abreeza Activity Center was dubbed as a night dedicated to the unraveling of the fabulous “fauna” of new Ipanema flipflop styles. No short of a majestic display of mythical creatures translating stories captivating each style and taste of the footwear brand’s new collection.

The packed venue played host to a mélange of mystical animals ushering Ipanema’s sassy new collection. This included the playful and graceful dolphin to the sleek wolf down to the lion and lioness, otherwise known as jungle royalties making their regal presence felt. What transpired was a generous visual display of colors, elaborate costumes and masterful choreography opening the gates of the grand mecca of footwear essentials in the Mindanao region.

Up to this day, Ipanema has carved a name easily attributed to a style haven not just in Brazil but around the globe where stylistas thrive. As it continues to banner fabulous footwear from Manila to Davao, we are all invited to indulge in an urban fashion jungle.

For more information, visit the IPANEMA Philippines official Facebook fan page (www.facebook.com/IpanemaPhilippines).

P.S. Obviously I grabbed the photos from my friend, Janvie Tiu. I recently just met him and already I am loving his company. Check out his blog too here: http://janvietiu.blogspot.com :) I'm pretty sure you would love his sense of style, cause I personally do! Tata!

Sunday Chill Day 2K

30th September. Sunday. Sundays are usually my chill day. But today my chill day was worth 2K. As I was suppose to man our booth. But then I had some family duties this specific day. I had to be angkong's "nurse" cause his nurse was gonna be late. So when I called my boss to look for someone to substitute me, it was already 10am. Cut-off is 10:30am. My sub came in just in time! But then one of our colleagues said she got in 10:31am! I know right? Well anyway, past is past. It already happened. So yea, I had to pay 2K!

So anyway, I just made sure to make use of my entire day cause it costs freackin 2K haha! So I crashed into the Quindoy sisters' place (my two crazy friends hihi) and you know we just hang. Played music, danced, photobooth, girl talk. The usual!

Then I went to Abreeza to get me some Maki Therapy from Tsuru since they have this Buy 1 Take 1 from 1 2PM to 5PM. Turned out I can't finish it. I mean when I got to my 6th Maki, I was just ughh. Full! So I went around the mall and found some good friends to help me finish my food haha!

AND

Jam2 took me photos. This was me last Sunday:

Here's what I wore:

Cardigan: Cotton On
Cropped Top: Mango -- this is actually a DIY! It used to be a 3/4 sleeved top then I just cropped it ;)
Denim Shorts: I got it in Vietnam for less than 10 USD! Such a steal!
Flats: Accessorize
Belt: Tommy Hilfiger
